Where can I find Repo/Salvage auctions?

I'm trying to get a bike, and I'd like to get one as cheap as possible. What I'd like to do is buy a bike in any repairable condition this late summer/fall/winter, and buy parts and put it back together so it's ready for the riding season next year.

I'm searching online for repo auctions/salvage bikes, but they're pretty sketchy online (the websites, they ask for money to sign up, of course the bike would be sketchy, lol).
Does anyone know of a regular for-sale or auction place in IL or IN?
