Fisher Models Ferrari 512M
I took a little break from my scratchbuilt PF Coupe project an built a couple of simple resin kits. This was the first of them. Well what can i say, for the price this kit is almost perfect (resin kit) Castings are good quality, and there are not too many pinholes. Everything you see on these pictures was in the box. Rear wing and sides of the chassis were foiled since the real thing has those parts made of polished aluminium.
I know that there is the MFH kit also, but i think that this one looks better as a shelf model. And for the price of MFH kit you get almost three of these... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() -Niko

Re: Fisher Models Ferrari 512M
These cars are not my cup of tea, but you sure make it look good.
And to be honest, if you hadn't mentioned that this kit was only the third of the price of an MFH kit, I wouldn't have known. It doesn't look like it (at least in my eyes)... |

Anyway: great job Niko, and yes I agree on the quality, I was so stupid to sell my Fisher 512S when I bought my Hiros but I got the chance to remedy than with several 917 and some other Fisher's stuff, those 917LT is even better, fantastic so far, speaking of modelling enginering.

Re: Fisher Models Ferrari 512M
I agree that the Fisher 512M body looks better than the Hiro. Just because its expensive doesn't make it right!!
I just received the Hiro Alfa T33/3 1970 kit and the chassis is superb, but the body is by no means perfect. The nose looks more Porsche 908 than Alfa T33/3 1970. Tom |

Re: Fisher Models Ferrari 512M
Nice one Nniemi,
It's a good looking model! How did it build? I also ordered one from Paul together with a Chaparral 2F witch makes my Chaparral 1/24 kit collection almost complete. When, a week ago, I had to choose from Paul Fisher's online shop I new this was the one I wanted. So I bought it immediately together with one of Jim Hall's creations, to reduce the shipping costs of course. I'm waiting now when the pakkage will be delivered from the States. |

Re: Fisher Models Ferrari 512M
Nice work, I love the clean simplicity of Fisher kits, no need for MFH for me. Saw this car in person at Amelia Island in March. I think you may have just sold me another resin kit

Re: Fisher Models Ferrari 512M
Fisher get the shape of his models almost perfect. They are simple, but his new kits do have more curbside detail. Great subjects. Support him as he has many more superb projects planned!!
Hiro's weak point is body shape. I have the Ferrari 250P 1963 Lemans winner and they really messed up the rear of the body. There bodies almost always have alot of mistakes, some huge. The chassis and engine detail on the Hiro kits is amazing, but not always perfectly accurate. Hiro's 512M body is not 100% correct and does not capture the feel of the car nearly as well as Fishers. This is nice. What blue is it? Is the yellow parts decal? Easy and quick build kit??
