Fuel Gauge going from empty to fuel without putting gas in

Ok so my gas gauge has been moving from empty to full in like 10 seconds sometimes. Has anybody had this problem before?

Fuel level sending unit which is part of the fuel pump assembly but it can be replaced separately.

You're welcome.

It is located with the fuel pump assembly. See link below which shows fuel pump removal with pics and where sending unit is located. Send me a PM message and I can provide a GM/AC Delco parts supplier.

Pic shows sending unit with the float.
