2002 Blazer A/C Problem

I have a 2002 Blazer where the A/C is running constantly whether the interior switch is turned on or not. Needless to say it cuts into fuel economy. What could be causing this problem? Not sure how long it has been going on.

Compresser running all time or just fan?
Auto or manual ac controls?
Has battery been changed?
Any flashing lights on?

Re: 2002 Blazer A/C Problem

The compressor is running all the time.

Manual controls

The battery was changed about a year ago.

No flashing lights.

Not that I think it would matter but the transmission was replaced around the first of the year.

Try tapping or switching compressor relay.

Thanks for the feedback. Since I am a relative novice at this, what does the relay look like and where would it be located. I will check it out this weekend.

Get out the owners manual and look in the underhood fuse box.
