Re: Engine cylinder numbering for Lincoln LS

Tims LSC, as you probably know, your LS has Coil on Plug (CoP) ignition and therefore there are no plug wires.

The pattern that UncleBob suggests is correct, but on your V6 you'll just have 1, 2, and 3 on the passenger side and 4, 5, and 6 on the driver's side.

There is a fairly active Lincoln LS forum on Automotive Forums that you should consider posting this type of question to. There's a lot of information on that forum regarding what the typical cause of the misfires that I suspect you're trying to fix, as well as sources for less expensive coils than the OEM versions. You can perform a search on the LS forum for "misfire" keyword and should get a lot of hits.
