Changing plug coils $$$ need diagram to deturmine where number 6 cylinder is located among others. Left rear? right front? Left front? What's the sequence? Where can I find an engine diagram showing this information.

if that's o.e wires on it they sould be numbered on the wires? if not call auto zone or look up autzone.com if not there i'll check back it's also on engine the firing orde should be on your moter have you even looked on under the hood and read the stickers?

passenger side, starting at the front of the car, going towards the rear 1,2,3,4
Driver side, starting at the front, going towards teh rear 5,6,7,8

Tims LSC, as you probably know, your LS has Coil on Plug (CoP) ignition and therefore there are no plug wires.
The pattern that UncleBob suggests is correct, but on your V6 you'll just have 1, 2, and 3 on the passenger side and 4, 5, and 6 on the driver's side. There is a fairly active Lincoln LS forum on Automotive Forums that you should consider posting this type of question to. There's a lot of information on that forum regarding what the typical cause of the misfires that I suspect you're trying to fix, as well as sources for less expensive coils than the OEM versions. You can perform a search on the LS forum for "misfire" keyword and should get a lot of hits. -Rod |
