EGR Valve
While taking a trip through the junkyard this weekend to grab bolts off an egr valve since the ones that were holding the piece of metal in place where my egr valve was suppose to go didn't fit when I put the aftermarket egr valve on, I decided to snatch the whole egr valve off an 80 something firebird. The part number on it is 17084735. I looked online and also ran across another number a few times while looking this up which was "EGR353".
Question is will this EGR valve work in my car? If so I'd throw it on til I can afford to grab a new one from the dealer. |

Re: EGR Valve
If you took it off of a Carb'ed Firebird you should be fine. I did a quick check with some part numbers I have and they seem to match just the 305/350 till they changed over to tbi/tpi

I can answer you this. I just went out and looked at the number of my own EGR valve and it is this: 17084735 So yes, I think it will work!
