Re: tranny flush gone wrong
If the car is still drive-able, take it for a ride. Then pull the Trans dipstick as it is running. See if there are bubbles on the stick along with the oil. Say the used filter is sucking in air and those are the bubbles on the stick is also the code.
Sorry, do not know the product or have the factory service manual to know that code display. Find the obvious first is you last repair and that is what set the code was the fluid change or say the filter dropped out you dropping the pan?

Re: tranny flush gone wrong
Most likely it's the combination of the imprope fluid and maybe because of hte fact that the filter wasn't changed take it back to the place it was done and raise hell with them perhaps they damaged a wire on the sensor in the tranny

Re: tranny flush gone wrong
i worked on the car, we have this trans machine that claims u can get 99.9 percent of the fluid out without changing the filter....supposivily it cleans the filter out which i do not believe at all. maybe a metal filter in a honda but not for the big 3. but i used some universal fluid that is suppose to work for any tranny past 1983...its made by pennzoil...yeah i just work for a huge auto chain and go by what they tell us to use and do. luckly the customer hasnt came back...yet.

Re: tranny flush gone wrong
Most likely you would have to change the filter... in my store the mechanic always change the filter with every tranny flush.... for a 174.99 it better be changed!!!

Re: tranny flush gone wrong
I don't know if the incorrect fluid would cause the tranny light to come on though.... the only way I can see it coming on is by decresed flow of fluid past the sensor..... could also be lack of oil pressure in the system also.....

Re: tranny flush gone wrong
this isnt the first time we had a problem car after a trans flush,we have had 2 come back on a tow truck before, one because it wouldnt go into reverse once the cutomer got home.... the filter was clogged with gunk...... the other was a tranny flushed with radiator sealent......tech was fired for that one haha.
