Hi new to the forums .Please bear with me. Thanks for all the info out there. Just purchased an engine that has a - in the place where you would expect to find a letter indicating the year of the engine.ex. g10-323.... Any one able to tell me the year or why there is know letter?

are you sure it's and "A" in 4th digit place and not an "O" ?

Thankyou for the link.It is dark here in Chicago and so I will check tommorow for the clues that will give me a rough guess as to it's age.But as for the 4th digit it is clearly nothing more than a dash - .It's not an A or an O.If anyone else out there might know I would appreciate. In the mean time I will let you know what I came up with. Rich
