2001 BMW X5 4.4i

Hey I have a mutual friend that is looking to get rid of his BMW X5 And I am thinking of buying it. It is a 2001 4.4i All maintenance records and such 125000 miles good idea bad idea? What should I watch for stay away from? HELP PLEASE!!!!
