Lamborghini Miura (Hasegawa)

This was my first Hasegawa model in a long time but it was a must have as I have always loved the Miura ever since seeing it in the opening credits of "The Italian Job (the original).
I was pleasantly surprised by the detail and the addition of the metal transfer decals which really set the model off when completed.
My only disappointments were the lack of an opening rear hatch to show off the detail of the engine and the fragile vents behind the window that were chromed (you end up having to paint them body color anyways so it wasn't really necessary to chrome them in my opinion. Plus both of them broke while attached to the sprue.
I could have gone with the standard red that the kit suggests but Lamborghini is not really known for subtle colors so I went with a lime green metallic lacquer (Model Masters I believe) that I got with a coupon at Hobby Lobby for 50% off. The interior I stuck with black and dark gray because I think it set it off well with the green. I also went with Tamiya Aluminum Silver for the lower panels. I toned down the insides of the wheels with Tamiya Titanium silver because the chrome was a bit bright and to add some subtle shading but I left the lip and spinners chrome. I used Model Master chrome foil for the window trims and any other chrome details.
I was really happy with this build. Everything went together very well and fit and finish was top notch.
hope you like the end result:

Perfect color choice.
By the way, did you spray clear over the paint?

It was ether that or the light yellow (like a post-it note)they had but when I went to the store to get the paint (Model masters had a near identical Ford paint) I saw the metallic green and knew that was the perfect color for the build, especially the metallicness.
Glad you like it!

A beautifully clean build of a beautiful car. A mad colour, too! Looks fantastic.
