Re: rear viper

Here are what has been used before and known to work..

NEC EQ1-31000
NEC EQ1-22111S
OMRON G5LE-1 DC12
OMRON G5LE-14 DC12

The NEC relays should be available from mouser.com

Re: rear viper

I've never found a relay from radio shack that will work. I just ordered mine from mouser.com easily done. Yes you will still hear the relay click even if the relay is bad. Its the contacts in the relay that go bad.

LOL - I bought 3 relays from Mouser and now they send me a 4" thick catalog quarterly! (Probably a $20+ cost for one $7.50 purchase)

Re: rear viper

The link that Tom posted for ebay, those will work.

or

NEC EQ1-31000
NEC EQ1-122111S
OMRON G5LE-1-DC12
OMRON G5LE-14-DC12

Any of those will work. I did just notice though that the OMRON relays are only 10 amp contact rating while the original relays and the NEC are 30 amp.
