'Cuda 6-pack

A person hit the wall of the firestation in Lillehammer, Norway the other day with his
Baracuda with a 6-pack hemi engine. He claims the acelerator got stuck open. He started out from a standstill on the street, floored the gaspedal and says it got stuck. He braked the car down with the front wheels to reduce the impact.
The carb.setup is a 6-pack with vacuum activeted front and rear carbs. The engine was at operating temp, when he took off. An investigation cant find any fault with
the carbs. and linkage. Its all working ok . The car is damaged in the front, so no start up can be performed. Has anyone got a similar experience with a sixpack, and can throw any lights on this investigation? Would be greatly appreciated if anyone has got a comment. The right engine mount rubber was broken and the left was ok. (as seen from the front of the car). Could the torq applied to right engine mount, shift the engine so much that the acc.linkage could jam ? Speed of impact was estimated to 25 mph. The operator sustained only minor injuries.

First of all, that 'Cuda 6-pack either has a 340 cubic inch wedge head engine (distributor in the rear) or a 440 cubic inch wedge head engine (distributor in the front). The 426 cubic inch Hemi(spherical) head engine had two four barrel carburetors. No such thing as a 6-pack Hemi.

If you are standing in front of the car looking towards the rear, the engine mount on the right side (driver's side in USA) would be the one under stress during acceleration. If this mount is broken, most likely the engine was twisted in the engine compartment under acceleration and this could have jammed the throttles open. Too bad the idiot behind the wheel didn't just turn off the ignition key. I guess he has more brains in his throttle foot than he does in his head.
