2001 gas mileage??
I am looking at a 2001 dodge ram 1500 sport that is a single cab short bed, I was wondering if anyone knew what kind of gas mileage these truck got. It has the v8 in it also. any help would be appreciated.

Check out www.fueleconomy.gov to find out the EPA estimates and real-world averages. I had an '04 Dak Quad 4x4 with the 4.7 and a 5-spd manual that got 16-17mpg city and 19-20 highway. I would imagine in the 14-18 mpg range, depending on the rear end ratio.

got basically the same combo you are looking at minus mine isn't sport. I got bigger tires on then stock (am running P285/75R16) and have done no major upgrades. I average about 12-14 city and can get up to 16 highway. I am a real aggressive driver that goes 80-90 on highway. 318 5 speed reg cab short bed 4x4.
