1995 4wd 4.3 vortec... hard to find coolant leak.

Went to work fine on Friday... came out afterwork to see nice large puddle of dexcool on the pavement... dripping on the driver side of engine... couldn't see where it was coming from.. assumed maybe waterpump. Replaced waterpump. still leaking..

I can't see where it is leaking from .. too much stuff in the way.. oil pan and 4wd transfer case underneath.. shock and steering column from under the driver side wheel well.. and can't see anything dripping from under hood.

it is a fairly steady drizzle and drains the radiator in about 10 minutes...

Any ideas on what could be leaking?

I've searched the forums and saw suggestions of a pressure test.. will that cause it to 'spray' out so that I can maybe see what is spraying rather than just trying to hunt down a trickling stream?

No water in oil that I could tell either.. ( at least it wasn't milky at all )

kinda sucks.. wanted to go away this weekend on a road trip...

If it is leaking that bad you should be able to see the leak.
Clean off all old coolant and look for the leak.
Look for where it is starting from.
If you can not see it get some help looking for it.

Does it leak on the tp f the engine or somewhere else? Do you see any antifreeze on top of the intake? Judging from what you said that it leaks out, drivers side, take a look at the engine block heater plug and the the block freeze/core plugs.

Yes.. it turned out to be the drivers side freeze plug.. the one right above the engine mount.. had shop do both on that side for $140 cause I sure couldn't get to it.
