vehicle : 01 Cherokee sport the instrument cluster needles dont move, radio does not turn on, all interior and under hood lights do not turn on. narrowed the fuse down to #16 (cargo lamp/switch, courtesy lamps, radio, instrument cluster, underhood lamp, transmission control module) Fuse visably was not blown, replaced with brand new one and same result. when tested with a test light neither sides light up. Im stumped and have no idea where to go from here. any tips would be greatly appreciated. thanks for looking and hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend! |

The instrument pack connector has a know problem...harness is too short and pull out. Take the instrument pack out and inspect the connector and the harness.

Re: Need help! #16 Fuse doesnt work at all!
i would check all of the under hood fuses first. there might be a fuse that runs power the under dash fuse(and normally other stuff too)

Re: Need help! #16 Fuse doesnt work at all!
Are you getting 12v to fuse 17 in the PDU (power distribution unit)?
The diagram shows fuse 16 and 17 get power from the battery directly (as well as 2,3,4,5, 6 etc.), so there might be a problem with the PDU connection to battery voltage. |
