need a little advice

I just bought a 95 talon with the 2.0. I bought the car knowing that it smokes and uses oil. Now my question is, I know it's probably the rings but is there anything else that could be causing that? You can actually smell the burning oil when you stop at lights, etc.

It could be a couple different things.... rings, headgasket or valve guides/seats. Are there any leaks inside the bay, or is it all being blown through the exhaust? It could also be the turbo having blown seals. Is there any oil showing up in the intercooler pipes/intercooler?
