2005 "malibu classic"
Just got the car with 70000 or so miles. 2.2 Ecotech motor. I'm pretty conservative driver but got 19 mpg last tank ful around Phoenix obviously with A/C always on. Motor is very smooth for 4 cyl. Was expecting better mileage out of the thing. Drove a rental HHR all over the mountains of Colorado getting 30+ MPG all the time (with 2.2). Two different cars. One with 16000 and another with 50000 plus, both getting over 30 mpg.
Does have A/C issues with a switch in the dash according to the dealer that sold me the car. He is ordering a switch to replace the existing one. Questions are three; 1 WHAT KIND OF MILEAGE ARE THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE SIMILAR CHEVY'S GETTING? 2 COULD THE A/C BE PULLING ABNORMALLY AND COMPRIMISING MY MILEAGE? 3 COULD THERE BE SOME SORT OF RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PASS LOCK SYSTEM AND THE REMOTE START (which i had the dealer install)AND THE A/C? Thanks for your time!

Did you resolve the a/c issue? If so, do you know the price of the switch?
