94 astro brake lights stuck on all the time.

Started happening a couple weeks ago. Would come out and see that the break lights had come on by them selves and would stay on. This was while the van was parked. I'd tap the break pedal and they would turn off and behave. As of last night they will come on and stay on and not turn off when I touch the breaks. I was able to have a look under the dash and just above the pedal there's a wiring harness that I can wiggle a bit and I was able to get them to turn off. I assume the problem is in that area. Just an guess.

I need to get it inspected but I'm going to have to make this stop first. Not to mention it's dangerous to drive around that way.

How do I fix it?

First check connections at the brake light switch which is on the pedal. Then if there ok you might replace switch to fix problem. This is very common the discription that you gave out. Good Luck!
