Nice Corvette

The kit is a nice representation of this Corvette-based kit car that looks like a Ferrari; you did a great job on it.

abang, there's nothing wrong with your effort, the finishing is very good.
blame i on revell who just can't seem to distinguish a corvette & a daytona spyder.

maybe you try on a fujimi EM series...you'll never be disappointed!

Very nice build of the Revell kit which is based on a Daytona body with Chevy Corvette chassis.

I don´t think Revellogram has a problem with that.
If this is the kit he was using, there´s nothing wrong. The Daytona of the Miami-Vice tv series was indeed a corvette based replica.

Edit: Ups! Tonio was quicker...

thanks for the comments ( ....and the corrections )

well, that was indeed the kit i was using, not forgetting to mention that daytona spyder kits are very rare in indonesia (couldn't find any daytona spyders from fujimi and else here), i had to do the best with whatever was left.

I did some findings afterwards, and it was quite shocking that this daytona spyder from miami vice isn't a real ferrari at all. It was called a McBurnie car, a corvette based daytona.

Again....thx for the corrections

Re: 1972 Ferrari 365 GTS Daytona Spyder

Ferrari was actually pretty pissed about the replica on the series. There was even talks of legal pursuit towards the company that was building them.

Ferrari offered Miami Vice 2 free '86 Testarossa's on the condition that the impostor Daytona be destroy, which it was via RPG.

<--- Not that I'm a fan of 80's tv shows or anything opcorn:

Re: 1972 Ferrari 365 GTS Daytona Spyder

It was a man by the name of Roberts that built those cars. He lives in my town and Ferrari did sue and won because he lost his business over the whole mess. He is actually the uncle of a good friend of mine also what is funny he also built laura crofts jeep from the movie and sold the kits to convert your jeep he runs this now from a radiator shop lol.
