Help with buying a car (Ford)

This is my first post here. Basically I am looking to buy a Ford Explorer. My budget is extremely cheap (3,200 dollars maximum) and I was wondering what you thought of the following Ford Explorers...

*By the way, I am only 17, and this is my first car ever, so keep in mind that I don't plan on going on any roadtrips or anything. It will mostly be to get me around town (school, work, friends houses, etc.)

Thanks in advance.

Re: Help with buying a car (Ford)

Go with the 2000. Just a little more money and much newer. Also the first one says low miles but you can bet it, being 5 years older, has more mileage than the 2000. I am guessing since you are 17 you probably don't have a whole lot of extra money to spend on fixing an older car. The newer one most likely would last longer.
