AC drain?

My AC is not draining properly. I suspect that it is clogged. Can anyone tell me where the drain is located? And also what is the best way to access it for cleaning? I plan to use one of those small vacuums to suck the debris out of the drain.

Thanks

Re: AC drain?

The AC drain is located on the passenger side of the fire wall. Down near the bottom. There is usally very little room but you could use screw driver to try and unblock it. Have had them us had to pull dash out of and the heater box apart because of leaves they stick in one place then when water comes out they move to block the drain. That was only few that had sandwhich bags full of leaves. the screw driver only needs to be about six inches in length. That way you want poke hole in anything important. Good luck!

Re: AC drain?

Would be easier from the top but you only have room for one arm. Good Luck!

Re: AC drain?

spray de-greasers/brake cleaners have worked well for me in the past..just get the ones with the long plastic tube and stick it up the drain line...blast away!

Re: AC drain?

I put the car up on ramps and got to it underneath. Had a hard time reaching it. Got a small screwdriver in there. We'll see if it worked.
