2001 Trans AM - Not turning over - Please Help
Hi everyone, I have a 2001 stock Trans AM with absolutely no modifications that will not start. I came home the other afternoon shut the car off, came out later and the car wouldn't turn over. I almost thought it acted like the chip in my ignition key went bad but I tried my spare that I never use and same result. Thought it might be the battery, but I just bought that battery not to long ago and also tried charging it but no luck either. I am running out of thoughts what might be the problem. Any help or suggestions would greatly be appreciated
BTW - approx 97,000 miles, 5.7L |

Re: 2001 Trans AM - Not turning over - Please Help
When you turn the key are the lights on in the dash? if so when you turn the key over is there any lights staying on? did you check the fuses? I would see if there is a code stored in the computer that might put you in the right direction.
