New tires/mags
Hey guys, well after 2 weeks of having my 92 black lude, its time i start the modding process :smoker2: . Next week, which is my march break im going to spend up to 3,000$ canadian on some new tires and mags. Just a quick question, do 18's fit on a 92 lude, its all stock so ride height is normal, not lowered. I dont want any rubbing or anything. Also if anyone is in the Vancouver area, if they could possibly reccomend any stores where I can get a good deal on tires/rims. Finally, anyone got some good suggestions on some tires? Im thinking some nice bridgestone's, or if i can afford any, pirelli's. Thanks for readin!
PS im looking to spend around 250 canadian, to 300$ per tire, if thats any help. :smoker: those smoking smiley's are sweet |

i think the 18's will fit with no problem. my friend had some 17's with 215/45/17 tires, lowered about2-2.5"s and it really never rubbed, so if you get some 215/35/18 tires you shouldn't have any problems. some good tire are yokohama avs sport, avs es100, parada spec-2, bridgestone potenza, pirelli p7000,etc... out of these tires the avs es100 are the cheapest, you can get them for around $130 a piece in 18's.

You'll be fine - my buddy rode with 225/35/18 's on a 92 prelude with a 2.25" drop and never rubbed...I have 205/40/17's on a 93 prelude, no drop yet and never rub...

Are there any pro's and cons to getting 18's vs. 17's? I like the look of 18's, i think they will go well on a prelude, but i dont want them to mess up the preformance of my car either.

If your looking for performanc, stay with 15 or 16, the bigger the wheel, the more weight (usually) and the more mass of rotation...personally I like the 17's better, but its about what you like...
