what is the required fuel pressure for a 93 bonneville? mine pumps up to 42 psi and then drops down to 39 to 40.

Re: fuel pressure

39-40 running I assume? If so you are ok.

Re: fuel pressure

The 93 Tuned Port Injection 3800 should fall into the 41-47 PSI range...

Was the car idling at 39-40? Or was this with the ignition on for the fuel pump prime? If it was this would be considered normal... If you were to disconnect the Vac line to the Fuel Pressure Regulator and it stayed at 39-40 instead of increasing then there may be an issue someplace...
