Where is the MAFS on 05 Focus DOHC 2.0 ZX3?

I took the air filter box off and looked down in the inlet duct and saw a plastic grid to keep big objects out and a thin, rectangular shaped sensor sticking out about an inch or two and I wonder if that is the MAF? I've seen a MAF before but never one like that. Reason I ask is, I would like to put one of the after market air filters on and I wonder if it will work since the sensor down in the inlet will no longer be hooked up, or at least, it will not be functional because it will no longer be in the inlet air. 2000-2007 Ford Focus - Injen Air Filter - Black

The factory rubber duct would be used and all the sensors in it would stay as they are now. Please let me know and I would sure appreciate help and-or advice.

That sensor in the box is the IAT (Intake Air Temp) sensor and that aftermarket kit should work, but I dunno what you would do with the sensor except mount it near the air intake filter.

Thanks Johnny, that is the MAFS and I cleaned it with MAFS cleaner by spraying it liberally down on it, let it dry 15 minutes then did it again. Guy at a performance shop said the air filter kit to fit my Focus is like $300. and not that interested in putting out that much money.
