It's NOT this sexy beast, though I could see it in the "Top Ten"...

Re: ugliest cars on the road

In my opinion:
Over 90% of american cars from most years are ugly compared to cars manufactured for foreign makes. This includes the uglyness of the interiors on american cars too. Sure, there are some European and Asian cars that are ugly, but the % is significantly smaller. Asian cars actually are often plain but not ugly. american ugly is worse than asian plain.

Re: ugliest cars on the road

PRIUS!!! UGH! I hate that thing. The Aztec is not that ugly really. It's dd, but notugly. Very sporty and kinda cool with the right color. Dark colors make it look ugly.

The Insight looks like the design for the future and so does the smartcar. Somehow the smartcar just looks ugly though and the Insight looks like someone time traveled in it. The Fit is pretty bad and I actually prefer the old xB design over the new one. Man, I could go on...

Re: ugliest cars on the road

most cars from 80s and 70s were ugly period, so here are some from the 90s and 2000s:

#1 Award goes to: PT Cruiser

caprice, ford escort, cavaliers, monte carlo, impalas , most u.s. designed and built fleet vehicles you see at car rental companies, original chevy avalanche, scion xb, taurus, hummer h2, chrysler sebring, all pontiacs and buicks, most mitsubishis, 2001+ mitsubishi montero for sure, new dodge charger station wagon and the like (I guess it falls in to the rental fleet vehicles which are all ugly), thunderbird.

the list can go on, but majority is u.s. makes

I beg to differ on the 1980s and 1970s...

Anything Mercedes, BMW, the Brits, and Italians are pieces of pure art in the 1970s and 1980s.

Re: ugliest cars on the road

i beg to differ about the 2003-2005 thunderbird, they looked nice, just no1 was paying 40g for a car that had 210hp from a v6. um the mid 90's were very good with the mitsu eclipse and 3000gt

Re: ugliest cars on the road

I'll agree with the late model Chrysler sebring. The convertible looks so disproportionate on the road.
