98 voyager 3.0 water leak

I'm losing about 1 gal. of water every 30 miles. The water appears to be coming out of the cross over pipe on the drivers side. I replaced the large O-Ring but it continues to leak. The service dept. said there was another O-Ring on the other side of the crossover pipe and I could pull the pipe out by removing the two bracket bolts.Well, that didn't work as it looks like a metal pipe runs up toward the top of the motor.Looking thru the pipe with a mirror it looks as if the pipe connects to the water pump.If so, do I have to, or schould I replace the water pump to get the O-Ring in?
It looks as if I'm going to have to remove the timing belt to get to the pump.Does this sound right?

Go to the Online Service Manuals thread and it should have the procedure for water pump replacement, also you could check the repair manuals online at autozone.com.
