Speedometer Troubles

Hello fellow 240sx owners. I am having problems with my speedometer i took my car out this morning it's a 95 240sx le. and i was looking at the speedometer and it was at 60 and i was goin pretty fast and i noticed it's 30 km/h lower then the actual speed i'm going. can anyone help me with this problem? what do you think is the cause? how can i fix it? thanks

Having big rims can throw off your speedo.

I suggest going to a dealer and having it checked out.

yeah i'd suggest taking it to a dealer or somewhere and having your speedometer re-calibrated.

my friend had problems with the speedo in his 95 240sx too. it turned out to be a defective unit when he took it to the dealer. it wasn't under warranty so he had to buy a new one. not cheap.

as for the guy that is hating on s15 lights. if "real drifters" hate them, then why do all the signal drift 180's sport the strawberry face front end? just wondering.

all the 180's? they only have one dude. plus hes a pro, hes not gonna fck around and crash it...and if he does, signal can pay for it, theyre rich.

yes, all the 180's. they have at least three, dude. not just the one that's been in the united states. and yes, he's a pro. doesn't that constitute him as a "real drifter"? the kind of "real drifter" that is supposed to hate s15 headlights.

boostin2bar: 3 180s? are they all replicas of eachother? ive only seen the drifter X strawberry faced 180. as for "real drifter" or not, hes looked up upon by us, but maybe in japan he's laughed at by the reall hadcore drifters.

kinda like how some kids look up to drag racers like rj devera. real "street" racers hate his ass cause hes nothing but a spoiled "azn" that crys to his mommy for a new bottle of "naws" after losin a race..

i don't smell flaming either. just asking a few questions. it just seemed like a pretty hateful statement.

as for the signal cars. there is the blue drifter X car and two copper ones that will be debuted really soon. you're right though. maybe they don't look up to him back in japan. i guess we really wouldn't know. but the second copper car is driven by bai, who is a respected D1 driver. i hope you understand where im coming from.

also, i notice that you guys bash super street a lot. but they are the first us mag to cover that car and if i'm not mistaken, they gave komatsu the name drifter x. so whether you like those dudes at all, they are still somewhat informative. i personally don't think any of the magazines are doing a better job than one another. but then again, it's not my place to say. i still read them regardless.
