Angry @*^$#%New Yorker factory car alarm!!

Ok, I have a 1991 New Yorker with a factory alarm. I've searched this site and I haven't come across a cure for my problem! I have used this site for many problems I've had for several different cars I have owned and I can honestly say that this site is by far the best for answers to technical questions and help with problems that I have had in the past and for this I am deeply appreciative to all who have helped. Thank you! Now, my new problem! I bought a 1991 Chrysler New Yorker 5th Avenue, basically because I got a good deal on it, or so I thought! It runs great and is in descent shape but this bizarre problem with this alarm system is killing me! There are a lot of goofy things that happen and I know that it all ties in to the alarm system but I can't figure out how to fix whatever it is I have to fix? First of all, the alarm randomly goes off by itself, weather it be 2am or 2pm or any time in between! Got sick of listening to the horn so disconnected them! The key in the door(driver or passenger) shuts it off as it should but why does it just go off randomly? Second, sometimes I would be driving along and the trunk open light goes on and sure enough, I pull over and the trunk is open? So, I unhooked the wire for the electric trunk opener switch. Problem solved there! Thirdly, at least once or twice a week, I have this really strange thing going on with the door locks? Just out of the blue they start to rattle and try to go up and down! Now with this, the only thing to stop it is unplug the battery cable then re install it but after doing this, the alarm goes off again?? Now today I have a new one! I went out early this morning to go to work(still dark) and hop in, start the car and turn the lights on and wow, no light? Let me explain. The lights go on but the doors will not flip up! So now Im late for work! I couldnt find my manual that tells how to raise them manually so Im just burnin! After about 1/2 hour I thought, what would happen if I unplugged the bat. cable and re-connect it? Well, that worked! So I guess my question is, is there a way to dis-arm this alarm system? Does this all seem like it stems from the car alarm being faulty? I have read other posts for similar problems but they have never really had a good resolution to the problem?
Has anyone had any or all these problems and if so, what the heck can you do?? Thanks in advance for any help I may get.

Re: @*^$#%New Yorker factory car alarm!!

Very interesting problem you have there. I don't have a definitive answer for you, but I have a suggestion as to where to start.

The doors and trunk unlocking on there own and randomly, would indicate some type of possible short or unintentional connection in the wiring circuits. I would look for bare wires touching or possible a switch or two that may be malfunctioning on the inside. Are the trunk and lock switches situated together or near each other??

As for the alarm, this system is logically programmed to activate if the doors or truck are unlocked by any method other than the key in the door or unlock on a remote switch. So I suspect that the alarm issue is a secondary effect to the door and trunk lock problem. Or simply stated, once you fix the door and trunk lock problem, the alarm problem will stop on it's own.

As far as the headlight doors are concerned, I haven't a clue.

Start with the door locks and trunk release and let us know what you find.

Have the same problem. Door locks go crazy, speedo goes crazy. flashers blink off and on, the car will start then die immediately. I'm sure it has something to do with the alarm. Just don't know how to disconnect the darn thing.
