Del Sol Modifications

I have a 93 Del Sol Si, with the SOHC D16 engine. I know somethings about cars, but not as much as im sure most of you do. Anyways, the car has around 140K miles on it, but it runs very strong. Im looking into what kind of performance mods I can do while still keeping decent gas mileage, if not improving it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Typically people start with an intake, header, and an exhaust system. Has the car recently had a tune up? (plugs, fuel filter, cap/rotor, etc) If not then that should be your first step.
