radio question

Ok so i'm still using my stock radio "until i save for a nice one" but the only problem is that it doesnt seem to get a signal anymore when it used to work just fine. Its wierd because i get perfect signal on AM stations but not FM. And sometimes off and on i'll get signal for maybe one or two of the FM stations i like but nothing else?

Re: radio question

Buy a new antenna. The reason AM works is because its antenna is contained within the radio. The external/glass antenna is for FM.

Yeah the built in glass antenna is cool....but i think Chevrolet was getting ahead of themselves back then.

Re: radio question

mine has that in-glass antenna, i like it better than the external one, gives it a cleaner look. my FM sations come in fine even when i had the windsheild replaced, then again i have a sony head unit also (the new glass also had the antenna inside it, so dont worry they DO still make them)

Re: radio question

Oh, I know they still make in-glass antennas - you can still buy cars with them. The external antenna works better, however. I converted my car to use that instead of the glass antenna, and when the windsheild broke last year, I got one without.

I don't miss it.
