Question installed cd player and know it wont work

i installed my cd player into my car, using a wireing harness to make it easy, and know my interior lights, trunk button and cd player wont work. there is power going to cd player but wont turn on. i found that the car had a security system which they didnt give me a remote for. know would that be the problem with the cd player and other things or did i short something out which i cant see that??? i think i need to take security system out and hopefully it will work.. please help meee

all i can say check your fuses.. you need 2 power wires at your deck.. a constant and a accessory wire.. but if you used a harness, then it should be fine... so check your fuses.. thats all i can suggest.

have you checked all fuses even the ones under the hood? you should have a fuse anyway wireing of the harnes that will blow that fuse and not blow your speakers? and are you hooked up so it wont come on unless the car is started or on acc?
