RPMs

Hey guys what is y'alls RPM at Idle? My 1998 Lumina i noticed idles around 800 to 900 rpms. That seem low? Should it be at 1000 Rpms?

I finally got my 92 z34 to idle at a looooow rumbling and steady 600rpms. love my flowmasters...

850 for an automatic in neutral is correct....

regardless of how he did it, it won't work on yours...you have OBDII, his is OBDI...yours has to be commanded to idle lower with a scan tool...

850 is about right in neut. i was talking while in drive at a red light...
yes mine is an obd1, there is an adjustment under the hood for idle. altho it resets after so many starts. i have to relearn it again when it does it, otherwise i would just twist the bolt right off after so long...

you cant really see it but its right below that black plate on the left...
