A bad EGR valve,or bad gasket is like a open window to the Intake,it's
like a bad vacuum leak.

You might want to put a turnicate or block EGR port to Troubleshoot the
problem.

I would get some gasket material and make a EGR gasket without the port hole.

Take the EGR bolts out and force EGR 1/8'' away from the exhaust manifold.
Sneak new gasket in between and bolt down tight.

This will isolate EGR,GASKET,Feedback sensor, and electric solenoid from the Engine.

How does the car run?

Re: starts, dies, then wont start

Hello, try this.. Sounds like your fuel pump is going bad.. climb under the car and hit the bottom of the gas tank near the front of it. if its safly possible try and have someone to start the car as you are hitting the tank. If it starts up then I would vouge to say your fule pump has a flat spot on the bushing and needs replacing. Or you can take it to a shop and have them do a pressure check and see how many pound of pressure its putting out. I doubt its a vaccum leak unless you hear it sucking air around the engine. To check for a vaccume leak, spray intake or throttle body cleaner around the engine while/if you can get it running, if there is a leak you will notice the engine will run more smoothly. Also, if you would like, spray the carb cleaner into the intake box and have someone try starting the engine. If it stays running while your spraying and dies when you stop thats another way of checking/knowing that the fuel pump is bad...

good luck

Bryan
