zero paint

I've bought some zero paint gloss black and I wonder if this also needs some clearcoat. It will be used as layer for some ALclad II

Re: zero paint

Nope. The Gloss Black is fine as a base for alcad without clear.

But doesn't this colour dry flat when airbrushed?

Re: zero paint

Only the Zero base coat paints dry flat. Steve added the Gloss Black into the range specifically for this purpose.
Other paints that don't require a clear coat are the Semi-Gloss black and the Gloss White.
