need help with a 1990 Ranger

let me start off by saying sorry for the grammar and spelling

ok a friend has a 1990 Ranger. he first problem was she let ppl mess with it that did not know what they where doing. they replaced the clutch, presser plate, throw out barren, and slave ciylder. when it was all said and done the frist week it was fine. then you had to put it in 1st or R to get it to move. it wont shift into gear for a dead stop or down shift eather.

its like when you try to shift form last gear to R realy fast or for R to a gear it dont work it stops. well thats what it is doing. i have even tryed to get it to grind it wont even do that at a dead stop.

any help would be great. we are trying to keep it out of the shop if we can.

Welcome to AF. Sounds like the slave cylinder needs to be bled.

These slave cylinders are very hard to bleed. I would try again.

I always replaced both the clutch master and slave cylinder. The bleed screw is close to the transmission. You put the fluid into the clutch master brake fluid. You have to move the clutch pedal up and down to bleed. One mechanic told me two hundred times. If I misunderstand what you want ask again.
Any way they are hard to bleed.
