1995 Lincoln, difficulty starting when warm

Yes, that's the problem. It's intermittent.

Happens most frequently when car has been run for even a few moments - a run of just one or two miles is enough.

Come back out, and poof, no start. Cranks fine, no start. Usually after 20-30 minutes the car will start, though it has taken as long as 3 hours. Weather seems to play a part, temps in the 80s and 90s making it worse, but that may simply be coincidence.

I've seen suggestions that it might be the PCM or the fuel pump relay when other's have described their car cranking but not starting... but from what I've been reading of them, it's a constant issue, not intermittent.

Car *always* starts first thing in the day - no matter what time, and starts quickly and cleanly. It's only after it's been run for a few minutes that things get... annoying.

I've replaced only the fuel filter so far.

Local dealers want at least one of my kids in trade before they'll even look at it. Over the phone they all come back with "duhhh, I dunno". I've not been happy with service they've provided in the past anyway.. I swear, they know less about cars than I do.
