Fuel Filter on '97 Towncar

The manual said the fuel filter was on the chassis by the fuel tank on the driver's side. I crawled under the car yesterday and didn't even find a line coming from the fuel tank. Of course, I didn't have the car on a rack/lift.

Has anyone changed the fuel filter and found it back there? Methinks I might
need to change it out.

Many thanks,

Jim

Re: Fuel Filter on '97 Towncar

It might be worth buying a fuel filter from a discount Auto Parts + let a
lube shop replace it !

Re: Fuel Filter on '97 Towncar

Hi Jim -
It's actually located near the frame rails (for protection) just in front of the drivers rear wheel.. there should be a splash guard covering it for safety so you might only see the lines until you remove the guard.
