DVD entertainment system

On my 2006 Pontiac Montana SV6, I have a DVD entertainment system. The video works well but only static comes out when playing a movie. The headphones and the speakers work well since I can listen to the radio. Any ideas?
I tried the dealer but all they can do is sell me a new one. I also tried a couple of car radio stores but they won`t touch it.

Re: DVD entertainment system

that's true, car audio shops won't mess with OEM stuff. You may be pretty much on your own unless you know how to fix it. Your options may be getting a new factory unit or redoing everything with aftermarket stuff.
