smokey or paint code 80

hi, long time no post lol, i had a question for everybody on here, i have been working on trans ams for years but i'm faced with a decision to make, i own a 1980 trans am ws6 paint code 80 needs new rear quarters, and i know a guy who has a 77 smokey and the bandit edition t/a wants 1500 and needs a little bit more body work, which do you guys think will be worth more and more rare in the long run?

Re: smokey or paint code 80

wow looks like you have a dilemma on your hands hahaha
to be honest id take the 77 smokey and the bandit but only because i dont like the front end from the 79 thru 81 in my opinion the 77 and 78 style looks way better but thats just me but its hard to find a 77 t/a for 1500 bucks ESPECIALLY a smokey and the bandit paint.
i suppose if i liked the 79-81 front end i would look at exactly how much more body work the 77 needs if its an extreme amount more id stick with the one you've got

i've always liked the 77 front end too, that car needs about twice the body work mine does, i just don't know because i've seen about 8 of the smokey and the bandit editions driving around before but my t/a is the only paint code 80 i've ever seen that wasn't in a magazine
