car died while driving
I have a 2001 Dodge Intrepid SE. It has 120,000 miles on it, and I had a strange problem today! I've had problems before with my radio shorting out on me, but today my whole car seemed to short out on me. I had started it up, and had gotten just about a block when I completely lost power. I believe my engine quit on me, but i'm not completely sure. I managed to pull over, and then I waited a while, and then I started the car up again and it worked just fine. I'm just kinda wondering what might have happened. When my car died, the dashboard lights went out except for the gear thing, and the oil light and one other light that i forget what it was.

Re: car died while driving
its a lose wire going down to your starter... check your main power wire which connects to starter.... same thing happened to me.. all my electronics, lights, engine, eveything quit.. was just that wire.
