Shocks
This is going to sound stupid, but is there a way to "test" shocks?

Re: Shocks
To test shocks on the car simply push the front or rear of the car up and down several times rapidly and then stop suddenly. If the car continues to bounce the shocks are bad. This does not work on cars with struts although if you have more than 100K on the struts you may want to replace them.

Re: Shocks
Make sure you dont get cheap strut mounts and bearings. Get Ac-delco's
I leaned that the hard way.
