4.3 motors

i have a 4.3 Z in my truck now. what i trying to find out is will a newer 4.3 (not necessarily a vortec) be a direct bolt in? Nothing is wrong with mine but at 150k i wanna be safe and have a spare that i can throw in on a good day

I was planning on putting a fuel injected v8 in my truck but with gas being $4.09 a gallon for the cheap stuff i doubt im gonna. or would i be better off putting it in. im slowly starting to fix it up, not into a show truck but really nice. already have a whole slew of parts ordered or in my possesion just waiting on a motor.

Nope, the 96-up are to be used with OBDII onboard systems.
