Hi. I am looking for any and all info on remote starters on Jettas. I have heard good and bad things about having them on the cars. I have a friend with a 2000 Jetta GLS, and she's had one since she bought it without any trouble at all. She just had to buy a new key to be placed inside the remote starter since it has an anti theft coding system. I would really love to have one installed on my car, and figured I'd see what everyone thinks, and if you've had any experience on the newer models.

personally would never reccomend having a remote start installed on any car make or model. If you can see what the wiring looks like on those after they install one its scary
