rip off!
I just found out my baby is only worth $1,965 via Kelly Blue Book.
Surely it's worth more than that...

Re: rip off!
Mine is too old to have a value after 20 years so i dont even know what mine would go for, though i have seen cars my same year in mint condition as well go for at least 7k on ebay, an SS impala lowest ive seen for sale is about 8 or 9k but of course those arent the kbb values

Re: rip off!
What you get is what the market will bear. I've seen early 80s Caprice's get sold for amounts north of $5,000, KBB be damned.

Re: rip off!
I've seen it go to both extremes. With Caprice's for instance... Value = around $1,000 for one in good shape depending upon the year, but some sell for $3,500+. When I was recently shopping for a new truck, I found a nice 2003 Chevy Z-10 ZR2 in great shape. Asking price at the dealer was $9,995 which was actually kind of high compared to other dealers around. KBB says: $13,995. I don't think blue book value had much accuracy. Like silicon said, it what the market has to offer.
