2004 Tahoe Driver side not cold?

I know this has been touched on, but.....
It started with a dead battery, from sitting to long.
After charging the battery, the a/c did not work up front, the air (hot) only came from the defrost vents. After running for a while I guess the dampers finally learned their positions and it started working. But now the air on the drivers side is not cold, however the passenger side and rear air is cold.

Any help will be appreciated.

Re: 2004 Tahoe Driver side not cold?

I'm right there with you jink!

here's what happened for me: Day 1;battery wouldn't start the Tahoe, Day 2; disconnected battery and went and got new one and came home and installed it. Day 3; drove to work and noticed cold air would only blow out of the defroster in the front, the back worked fine. I did some research online and found someone said to take the radio fuze out of the fuze box for a bit to reset the computer. After I did that the a/c worked on the driver's side only and only hot air came out of the passenger side. I called my local GM service dept who told me to disconnect the battery for 5 minutes and "hopefully" that would do it. I had also read to turn everything off before doing this, which I did. Now the a/c is working as it should! BUT,now the tahoe isn't idling correctly. I called the service dept back and they said to drive the vehicle in hopes the computer will right itself.

Anyone been through this or have any good suggestions for myself and jink?

Before you post, this isn't a freon level issue!

Re: 2004 Tahoe Driver side not cold?

To reset the ac controls the correct procedure is to remove the raido fuse fo 30 seconds then turn on key and let the ac do it thing on reseting itself.

A battery disconnect is not the way to do it.

Go ahead and drive it and see if it will reset the idle after a few drive cycles.
if not you may have to get a engine capable scanner on it to reset it.

Call the dealership and tell them not to be telling people to do the battery disconnect thing unless they want to be buying a few computers for people.
GOOD LUCK

After letting the Tahoe sit overnight everything went back to normal. Thanks to all for the inputs.
