2002 grand am projection light installation

Im having problems installing a set of aftermarket projection lamps. the stock mounting bracket doesnt leave enough room for the new light assembly. Am I doing something wrong or do I need an aftermarket housing braket?

Welcome to AF !

Which projectors are you trying to install, do you have a pic or two ???
Or a link where you bought them ??

Have you lifted or removed the pull tabs that hold the housing on ?
