Reset service light(brake) E90

Hey.. i found a method to reset the service light for the brake pads.. and heard it works from a lot of people. I did it on one of the e90s and the kilometer part changed to "---------" when it was suppose to change to something like 60,000km.. but it stayed at "--------" after i tried reseting it..

I'm just trying to find a solution to fixing this. The service indicator light keeps coming on because of it.

Has anyone ever had this happen before?? any solution? besides going back to the dealer.. where they probably use a similar method..

Lol Thanks for taking your time to read this!
