http://www.evo.co.uk/features/featur...rsche_956.html I'm assuming you are buidling the Bellof Jagermeister 956 ? I've seen some sprue shots recently and it looked like a 962 to me , can anyone confirm ? |

Re: Need cockpit photos for Porsche 956 C
Its the same tooling (old hasegawa) as in the factory 962C kit released earlier so what you will be building will be a 962 in the 956 jagermeister livery!
I believe the kit was supposed to use the old protar tooling originally but for some reason upon release its the hasegawa 962 parts. Cheers, Jon |

Re: Need cockpit photos for Porsche 956 C
Are the differences between the two types significant enough to invalidate the Jager Orange color sceme that comes with the kit?
Is there another kit that would be better for this color sceme? |

Would be interested in this, too.
What are the visible differences between 956 and 962 at 1:24 scale curbside models?

Re: Need cockpit photos for Porsche 956 C
There are a couple of differences between the 956 and 962C. Let's start off by saying that the Protar (a short tail 956) kit is horribly proportioned and should probably not even be considered. The Tamiya 956 is a long tail version for LeMans. The nose is longer and has a gentle upsweep. The tail is longer and the rear wing is mounted much lower. Both Tamiya and Hasegawa 962C kits are short tail versions. The nose is shorter and more steeply angled and the wing is mounted higher up on a shorter rear deck. The ground effect tunnels on the 962 are bigger as well if looking from behind.

So which kit would be appropriate for the Orange color scheme?
