Question 94 dodge intrepid stereo

I recently tried installing a new stereo in my car only it wont go all the way into the well.is there anyone who has had this problem and hoiw did u fix it?

some of the wells are kind of shallow. What size is the factory radio and what size is the new radio. Did you use an installation kit ?

Paul is correct, a standard DIN sized radio is too long for the depth of the well in your Intrepids dash even when using an install kit. The factory radio is DIN 1.5, the only radio that size with a shallower depth that I know of is a Pioneer "Exact Fit" unit that will fit in Chrysler and GM vehicles.
